ABOUT US

We believe that many Christians are looking for a revival of the demonstration of the power of God as manifested in the spiritual gifts of healing, miracles, faith, and others mentioned in I Corinthians 12

That many Christians hunger and thirst after righteousness and are tired of teaching that does not include preaching against sin, the blood of Jesus Christ, complete truth, holy living.

That many Christians desire to worship from the heart, not just with the head and hands.  This may include the excitement of expressing oneself with clapping, shouting, dancing, and rejoicing, but there is a desire to feel God's presence, being overwhelmed with the spirit of love,  and power, and having the spirit speak both directly to the heart and to the congregation.

That many Christians really do want to know the scripture, not only for practical daily living, but by seeing the church function as God originally intended and as was recorded in the Bible.

The Apostolic church started approximately in the year 33 AD on the day of Pentecost. The Biblical account in Acts 2 records how that all of the apostles of Jesus, the Lord’s mother, Mary, and disciples that numbered 120 were filled with the baptism of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues as the Spirit of God gave the utterance.

The Apostolic church has continued in history from that time, often being persecuted and at odds with Catholicism that came into existence under the rule of the Roman, Constantine. In 325 AD at Nicea, Catholicism changed the formula for baptism from the Name of Jesus Christ, which was practiced by the Apostles to conform to the doctrine of the Trinity which had crept in from the false teachings of the gnostics and Babylonian religions. Later, the reformers began to bring in the false teachings of men like Calvin and others which began to pervert the truth, doing away with the essentials of the new birth, which included water baptism and spirit baptism. (John 3:5 and Acts 2:38)

Apostolic Lighthouse is a continuation of the church started on the Day of Pentecost, holding to the original doctrine preached by the apostles that is recorded in Acts 2, Acts 8 Acts 10, Acts 19, and elsewhere in the scripture.
