What House Will You Build Me? -- Pastor Davis preaches that being religious is one way that men try to a build a house for God but just like David, God may honor the desire, but we must know that it is not the what God wants. You must become the temple of the Holy Ghost, a house built by God and not by man.  Pastor Davis notes that while Solomon’s Temple was the costliest structure ever built by man, it was only a place that God visited, but not the place where God lived.  Instead, we become the Temple of the Holy Ghost, “a house not made with hands” and one that is built by God.  Consider the importance of having the baptism of the Holy Ghost as Pastor Davis explain that sincerity is not enough to get us to heaven.
It’s All About God --  Salvation is not about negotiation and while death bed salvation (like the thief on the cross) is possible, it is not consistent with God’s gospel or his grace.  We are not righteous enough to earn heaven, neither do we have credibility enough to negotiate a “deal” for salvation.  Pastor Davis states that this is because salvation is not about us -- “It is all about God”.  It is only God’s mercy, grace, and love that makes salvation possible for all mankind.
The Testimony of Dexter Gardner -- This video created by Apostolic Light Publishing, a ministry of Apostolic Sanctuary of Praise, has been used as a teaching tool for our evangelism ministry.  Dexter Gardner ended his life by suicide because of his life of drug addiction, but before firing the fatal shot that killed him, Dexter recorded a farewell message to his parents.  This message is the audio background for the several photos of lives that are being destroyed by addiction to drugs.  The tragedy of this senseless suicide is that there was a way to be free through the power of Jesus Christ who said, “You shall know the truth, and the truth will make you free”.
